As Photo London opens its doors tomorrow, our head curator Rebecca Gordon has created a collection of her top photography picks to get you inspired.
“I have always loved time lapse photographs and Riccardo Magherini’s ‘Hong Kong’ series encapsulates this technique. The final works are a collage of different moments, shot in the same place, from the same angle, layered on top of each other. The resulting effect is stunning and one would be forgiven for thinking they might be a painting. They are at once frenetic and calm, as if someone has literally pressed the pause button – there is a wonderful energy and tension within the work.”
